To enhance the security of our application and prevent unauthorized access, we have implemented a lock screen feature in the Repairdesk. 

This feature allows users to specify a screen timeout duration according to their preference. 

If there is no activity on the screen within the selected timeout period, the screen will automatically lock. To unlock the screen, users will need to enter their assigned access PIN.

CONFIGURING LOCK SCREEN SETTINGS

To configure the lock screen settings, please follow these steps:

Open the application and navigate to the store settings.

Look for the "Lock Screen" section which is displayed at the bottom of the page.

Within the lock screen settings, you will find an option to set the screen timeout duration.

This duration determines how long the screen can remain idle before it locks automatically.

Select the desired screen timeout duration from the available options.

Click on the Save changes to apply the new lock screen settings.

Important: To ensure the effectiveness of the lock screen feature, it is crucial to set an access PIN. Without setting an access PIN, the lock screen feature will not work.

MANUAL SCREEN LOCK

In addition to the automatic screen lock, users can also manually lock the screen at any time by clicking on the lock icon button located in the application's header. This manual lock feature provides immediate screen protection.

USING THE LOCK SCREEN

Once you have configured the lock screen settings and set the access PIN, the lock screen feature will be active. Here's how you can use it:

When the screen remains idle for the specified timeout duration, the lock screen will automatically activate.

To unlock the screen, enter your assigned access PIN using the keyboard.

Enter the correct PIN digits.

If the entered PIN is correct, the screen will unlock, and you will gain access to the application.

If any other user wants to unlock the screen, then he just need to click on the dropdown which is available on the top right side of the screen.

Select his profile from the dropdown and enter the correct access pin to unlock it.
